    Itinerary

    Day 1Highlights of the Tour: Kenyatta International Conference Centre and Kenya National Museum (3.3 km – Approx. 10 mins)

    • Arrive in Nairobi at Jomo Kenyatta International airport in the morning where you will be met and welcomed by our representative. You will go to the hotel for check-in and relaxation.
    • After lunch, you will visit the top tier of Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) an icon and landmark for Kenya. It appears on the Kenyan Currency and has hosted major international meetings. It has the highest observation deck in the city. From this vantage point, one is able to see the entire City of Nairobi and its surroundings.
    • You will then visit the museum.  The museum showcases Kenya’s rich Heritage with four distinct themes representing Kenya’s Culture, Nature, History and Contemporary Art. You will return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

    Day 2Highlights of the Tour: Nairobi National Park and Giraffe Centre (18 km – Approx. 35 mins)

    • Kenya is famous for its diverse Wildlife. You will visit the Nairobi National Park the only park in the world situated within the city. It is home of over 100 mammal species having four of the Big five (lion, buffalo, leopard, rhino) and diverse birdlife with over 400 species recorded.
    • You will then visit the Giraffe Centre. The Centre offers visitors the opportunity to get up close and personal with these friendly giraffes. There is an elevated treetop feeding platform that allows you to hand feed the giraffes and learn about wildlife conservation at the on-site nature center. 
    • Thereafter you will have lunch and you will depart for Tigoni Village 6km to Kiambethu Tea farm for Dinner and overnight.

    Day 3Highlights of the Tour: Highlights of the Tour: Kiambethu Tea Farm (6km – Approx. 10 mins)

    • After breakfast, you will depart from the hotel to Kiambethu tea farm situated at 7,200 ft. Kenyan tea is renowned around the world and the Kiambethu Tea Farm is among the country’s oldest, dating back to 1910.
    • It was bought and farmed by AB McDonell. He was a pioneer in the tea industry being one of the first to make and sell tea commercially in Kenya. Five generations have lived on the farm and his granddaughter Fiona Vernon currently runs it. The farmhouse is set within beautiful gardens surrounded by acres of tea and indigenous forest.
    • On arrival, Fiona will welcome you with homemade biscuits and tea/coffee. They will then explain about the tea making process, then an opportunity to see tea in the field. Also included in the tour is a walk in the indigenous forest with an in-house guide who will identify the plants and explain how they are traditionally used.
    • Look out for Columbus monkeys, flowers and birds. The tour ends with a three course buffet lunch prepared with vegetables from the garden and dessert topped with cream from the cows in the farm. Return to the hotel for overnight and dinner.

    Day 4Highlights of the Tour: Kiambethu Tea Farm–Karunguru Coffee Farm (50km – Approx. 1hr 30 mins)

    • After breakfast, you will depart from the hotel to Karunguru Coffee farm.  The farm was founded by the original owners in 1928. In 1974, Geoffrey Karekia bought and took over the 300-acre farm, renamed it to Karunguru farm and grew it to 500 acres of a vast coffee farm. Karunguru coffee strives to bring the top grade coffee.
    • The tour will offer you a once in a lifetime opportunity to come learn the process which coffee goes through.
    • You sit outside in the gardens for a coffee tasting experience before embarking on a tour of the farm.  You then will enjoy buffet style lunch at the gardens in a picnic style. All the vegetables served are grown on the farm. 
    • You will later drive to the airport for a one-hour fifteen minutes’ flight to the Kenyan Coast, Diani beach for overnight and dinner.

    Day 5Highlights of the Tour: Diani

    • Diani Beach has been awarded by entities like the Big Seven, Traveler’s Choice awards, World Travel Awards among others, the best beach destination in Africa and one of the best in the World. White sand, warm turquoise water and palm-lined streets characterize the beach.
    • Here you will relax, take strolls on the beach and enjoy the ocean breeze. Lunch and dinner will be served at the hotel.

    Day 6Highlights of the Tour: Diani

    • You will continue to relax, take strolls on the beach and enjoy the ocean breeze. Depending on the ocean tide, you will have a short glass boat ride to Robinson Island where you will see different fish, sea animals and corals.
    • Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served at the hotel.

    Day 7Highlights of the Tour: Diani-Nairobi (518km – Approx. 1Hr. 15mins)

    • You will continue to relax. You will also have a chance to enjoy snorkeling or swimming.
    • Lunch and dinner will be served at the hotel. Lunch and aperitif at the hotel.
    • You will have a flight from Diani to Nairobi late in the evening catch the flight from Nairobi to France. End of the tour.
